Why the color red inspires me

Well today I am tired - still figuring out that balancing act and I think the late nights and early mornings have caught up with me. Though I am not complaining, just stating a fact. Fortunately the weekend is just around the corner. These past 2 days have been a bit challenging, but in a good way. We have been getting down and dirty with the research part of this challenge. This part is critical because picking a good niche means I am guaranteed to make my $10, flip side of that is, if I pick a bad niche, then I am still at $0. So I am taking the research exercises and advise seriously. In light of all this "drudgery" as one of my teammates put it - I went looking for a bit of inspiration on YouTube. And I happen to stumble upon one of my favorite web 2.0 stories of all times - One Red Paperclip.

It is the story of young man who used Craigslist to trade his one red paperclip for a house. You will be amazed at how he got there with no money, just kept trading up on Craigslist. Gee, now I realize I probably should have asked for more when I traded my cheese sandwiches at school. I probably could have gotten something much cooler than poprocks - but then again at 8 yrs old and in the 70's there was nothing more desirable than eating poprocks.

Now if this video and story don't get you thinking about the possibilities of learning how to make $10 online and "trading" that up for $1 million, well then there is no hope for you and you should stop reading my blog immediately and return to your cave.
